Notes - The following information was provided by Lana Little, Amelia's great-granddaughter on 2/22/2014:
Amelia's husband's name was Rattler Burns Little (my great-grandfather on my father's side). My aunt Margaret (Little) Beaty wrote out an incomplete family history/lineage and her page on Amelia says the following-
Birth: May 28, 1877 in Smithville, MS.
Parents : John Henry Pickle & Martha Louisana (Bandy) Pickle
Marriage : Rattler Burns Little in 1912
Children : Carolyn Marie Little (born August 16, 1913, died June 30, 1925) ; Elbert Burns Little (my grandfather) born September 4th, 1915, died February 12, 1983; Relda Rattler (he changed this to Robert later on) Little, born June 1st, 1917. * Uncle Relda has since passed on, I will need to ask for his date of death. His wife, Alpha Mae, is still living.
Jobs : Amelia lived on a farm most of her life. Married a farmer and stayed home caring for the children. Daily duties of baking bread and canning. Canning was done in the summer from the garden and when the fruit trees were full of ripe fruit. The food canned was needed for the winter. Making soap was done around twice a month, to keep the supply up. She learned from her mother how to spin wool into yarn. She made quilts for the family and relatives. She also made quilt tops for all her grandchildren. Amelia loved flowers. She worked in her garden and flower-beds. One special thing she loved was pickled pigs feet.
Places lived : She lived most of her life in Smithville, Mississippi. She moved to Houston, TX on September 24th, 1945, where she lived by her son Relda. Relda and Elbert built her a little house so she could have something of her own. She lived in her little house 14 years. She became sick and asked to be taken back to Mississippi. She stayed with her sister Mary (Pickle) Clark for one week and then went into a coma and died at the house of her sister.
Special Note : Amelia married again after Rattler Burns Little died. She married a Mr. Nauman. No information on him.
Death: April 4th, 1959 buried in Old New Hope Cemetery on Hatley-Detroit Rd.
