  	George Allen Bartlett is the son of William Royal and Lucy ‘Thompson' Bartlett. George Allen Bartlett married Isabella McNickle on Feb. 7, 1861 in Madison Co., IL. George and Isabella had 6 children: Harry S., Nellie, Elizabeth, Arthur, Rachel and Mary Jane. George Allen Bartlett married Henrietta "Hettie" Naftel on May 27, 1875 in Macon Co., IL. George and Hettie had 3 children: Margaret, Henrietta Gertrude "Hettie" and Allen A. George Allen Bartlett married Jennie Jane Bastion (Seass) on Dec. 13, 1883 in Moultrie Co., IL. They had no children, but Jennie had a son from a previous marriage, Herbert H. Seass. The death of G. A. Bartlett occurred at 10 o'clock this (Wednesday) forenoon at the residence on South Water street, resulting from kidney trouble. The deceased was engaged with William Fierce in the feed and wagon yard business at A. Culp's old place. He was taken sick last spring. His age was 55 years. He was married three times, but all of his wives are dead and buried in the Long Grove cemetery in Macon township, where the body of the husband will be laid at rest. Eight children survive. The deceased was a Mason and in good circumstances. He owned a fine farm of 176 acres in Kansas and property in this county. Daily Republican (Decatur, Illinois), Wednesday Eve., August 3, 1887, pg3
