  In 1852 Savilla married Hosia 'Ozey' Broyles Rogers in Anderson County, South Carolina, and they had eight children: Joseph Morton, Thomas Milwee, William E., Mary Elizabeth, James A., Linna A., Ozey Goodvin, and William Ira Rogers. 'Ozey' died in Anderson County, South Carolina in 1868 leaving Savilla a widow with six children still living at home. After 'Ozey' died, Savilla married 'Ozey's' first cousin, John Columbus Rogers, and shortly thereafter they moved to what is now Anderson County, Texas.
