  	OBITUARY; Published in the Athens Review November 6, 1930 H.C. Scott, of Dallas, former Athens citizen, died at 10 o'clock Friday night at his home in Dallas, following a stroke of paralysis some six weeks ago. The body was brought to Athens for burial services being held at the First Christian church with interment in the family burial plot in the city cemetery Saturday morning. Services at the church were conducted by Pastor Nimmo Goldston, assisted by Rev. Fuller of Athens and Rev. McMillan of Abilene. The Masonic fraternity of which deceased was a member for many years had charge of the interment. Mr. Scott was 74 years of age and although a native of Kentucky, spent the larger part of his life in Athens where he was prominent in business circles and civic enterprises. He was a member of the Christian church and was an enthusiastic Mason and gave much of his time to both the Church and the Lodge. Surviving Mr. Scott are his wife; three sons, Owen of Athens, and Harry and Charles Scott of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Deal Pharres of San Francisco, California, Mrs. J.R. Loughridge of Athens and Miss Helen Scott of Dallas. A brother, W.C. Scott of Abilene also survives.
